Big things are in store for the hilarious Amy Sedaris - first up, she’ll be guest starring in multiple episodes of The Closer, playing Fritz’s sister when the new season begins in January. Other big Amy Sedaris news is her sitcom deal with Fox.

It’ll be nice to have Amy Sedaris back in a regular role on TV. She was ridiculously funny on Comedy Central’s Strangers with Candy and never manages to turn in a dull talk show guest gig - check out her latest appearance on Late Show with David Letterman.

For anyone who gets giddy at the sight of Will Arnett during his guest starring appearances on 30 Rock, here’s some exciting news - Will Arnett has been signed to star in a new comedy project for Fox.

Under the deal, Will Arnett has complete creative control over the writers, producers and directors for the comedy and has a huge say in what the content of the series will be. Basically, Will Arnett rocks!

Will Arnett has said he’d like to work with Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz, so maybe he’ll take Hurwitz on board?

J.J. Abrams has another hit on his hands - the Fox series “Fringe” was given a full season order, after just a few weeks of airing.

Fringe, starring Joshua Jackson and Anna Torv, averages 10.7 million total viewers each week.

That didn’t take long - we have our first cancellation of the fall season! Fox has canceled “Do Not Disturb,” starring Jerry O’Connell and Niecy Nash.

Do Not Disturb, if you didn’t catch one of the three episodes that aired, focused on running an inn. And… well, that’s all I really know about it. (more…)

As usual, the creators of The Simpsons have no problem getting big name talent to lend their voices to the show. This season, listen for Jodie Foster and Anne Hathaway to make appearances on The Simpsons.

Jodie Foster will voice the grown-up version of Maggie, in an episode airing in early 2009. Anne Hathaway will be a character that Bart falls in love with in “The Good, the Sad and the Drugly” episode. (more…)
